Straton Ronnie Nelson

Yeah!!! He is finally here! while in the hospital, Q changed the to do list to "had a baby" since it had said "Have a baby" for way to long!
Straton joined the family March 4, 2010 at 9:19 am. He was a hefty 10 lbs, and absolutely adorable! The kids were really excited to come and see him. They were very shy at first around him, but then they became more comfortable and would hold him!

Just Look at those cheeks! He left the hospital at 9 lbs, so he seems a little smaller now, although all he does is eat!!!!

Brooklyn checking out her new brother! We can not call him Mr. Brown anymore, it is "Her baby" or "Taton"

Rachel calls him "Fuzzy Guy" because of his fuzzy head!

Brig is really excited to finally have a brother.....he is going to teach him everything he knows!!!

Olivia really likes her new brother, and says that she wants a million baby brothers!

HOme....finally!

AWWWWWWW......cute!

Twelve days old, and having fun taking pics of Straton! He didn't really like getting his clothes off, but he enjoyed laying on his tummy....I love the frog legs and the wrinkles....:)

Green

Hey, I just wanted to post a GREEN Update! Brooklyn's new dress is green......The Magnet boards/ swinging dooors from the store are green......
They are for sale if anyone wants them! Cute for a craft room or something....

Aunt Bubbles gave this to Brooklyn for her Birthday....she can really pose pretty for me, Although she learned most of it from Rachel........Still, she is very cute in GREEN!

Last of all, I have a new entertainment center! It was the GREEN cabinet from the store, and I got to keep it! (Finders Keepers!) Greg and Patrick painstakingly hauled it up the stairs, and we modified it a little to fit a TV, and It holds a lot of stuff! I am in love with it, the kids will grow to like it too! (They think it is ugly and old! When it is actually cute and distressed (And Old)! So, that is the most exciting things I have to Blog about.....But I LOVE the color Green, so now you all know!

Rachels Broken Leg

Well, we have done it. We officially have a broken bone in the family, I thought we might get lucky and not have to go through that one, but Rachel was the lucky one. She was at playgroup and jumped off of a piano bench....( a piano bench, are you serious....yes, unfortunatly.) She wouldn't walk on it and was complaining and wanted to see her mommy, so the lady whose house she was at called me, and I went and picked her up. She couldn't point or flex her toes, and went into a shock when I asked her to, so we ran her to community care, they thought it was her foot, so they tortured her with some x-rays, and found out it was her Tibia. (shin-bone) She has a bright pink cast now, and scoots or whines till someone will carry her around.....The other kids want to break a leg now because Rachel has recieved so much attention!

We actually got Rachel out of the house for Halloween.(She had just broken her leg on the 29th) so she really didn't want to go, but she had fun. Greg pushed her around the neighborhood, and the other kids helped. Brooklyn was demoted to riding in the basket in the bottom of the stroller.... She is having a hard time not getting all of the attention anymore. I guess she will have to get used to it! Brigham was a trapper for halloween and Olivia was a pilgram, Rachel and Brooklyn were Princesses, although Rachels costume was her pajamas and a Tiara:) Happy Halloween everyone!

Menan Heritage Days

Howdy Ya'll! We had a blast at the Menan Heritage Days Festival in September! WEll, okay. so Rachel and Brooklyn weren't cooperating for the Photographer at all, but we still had fun.

We got to dress up in costumes, walk in the parade, buy the best homemade pumpkin pie at the baked goods auction ( My grandma made it, so I am a little biased). Then run in the races, and carve zucchinni boats for a boat race down the canal! (Brigham loved that) He was a true Trapper, and carried his BB gun around all day, and luckily we had taken the amo away, or we would have had some wounded pioneers! Other games and activites were fun, like the photo Booth....don't laugh, the kids picked out my hat!:)

Brigham and his friend Andrew really got into the trapper mood! There wasn't a safe squirrel in Menan!

Something that the settlers might not have been able to do is play tug-of-war over a mound of foam from the fire department! Brigham really dug in to keep from going through the foam, and his team won! But soon he was covered from head to foot with foam! Rachel wa s a little more cautious getting in to the foam,... look in the right corner and you can see olivia and Brigham too....before they were covered!
