Well, we have done it. We officially have a broken bone in the family, I thought we might get lucky and not have to go through that one, but Rachel was the lucky one. She was at playgroup and jumped off of a piano bench....( a piano bench, are you serious....yes, unfortunatly.) She wouldn't walk on it and was complaining and wanted to see her mommy, so the lady whose house she was at called me, and I went and picked her up. She couldn't point or flex her toes, and went into a shock when I asked her to, so we ran her to community care, they thought it was her foot, so they tortured her with some x-rays, and found out it was her Tibia. (shin-bone) She has a bright pink cast now, and scoots or whines till someone will carry her around.....The other kids want to break a leg now because Rachel has recieved so much attention!

Menan Heritage Days
Howdy Ya'll! We had a blast at the Menan Heritage Days Festival in September! WEll, okay. so Rachel and Brooklyn weren't cooperating for the Photographer at all, but we still had fun. Brigham and his friend Andrew really got into the trapper mood! There wasn't a safe squirrel in Menan!

Something that the settlers might not have been able to do is play tug-of-war over a mound of foam from the fire department! Brigham really dug in to keep from going through the foam, and his team won! But soon he was covered from head to foot with foam!
Rachel wa s a little more cautious getting in to the foam,... look in the right corner and you can see olivia and Brigham too....before they were covered!

I do need to add a post of our "vacation" to green canyon for swimming lessons! We had a ton of fun, and the kids are all swam out! Plus they got swimmers ear, and we all have colds now...Greg blames it on Green Canyon, But I think the cold came later! I think we were just worn out from all the activity and then coming home to Alex's wedding and then school starting....we were just worn out! I don't wish this cold on anybody! My grandma would say we have the swine flu, but I am pretty sure it is just a cold! Brooklyn's hair keeps getting caught in her boogers, and all the coughing that is going on is awful, but I think we are now on the downhill side of it!
Back to Green canyon! Olivia and Brigham did 2 sessions of lessons each morning, and then they could swim as much as they wanted the rest of the day. They also played in the creek unless the moose was around! we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows....and ate a ton of food! Nobody got injured this year too seriously, Last year Ian Macbeth burnt his toes on the fire pit! Brooklyn likes the candy counter at Green canyon, I liked the tomatoes! We had a yummy grilled cheese and tomato sandwich that was to die for!

Brooklyn is modeling Brighams' cowboy boots! She has to try on everyone's shoes!
First day of School!!
Hooray! The kids are back in school! Now I can get something done (wishfully spoken!) They like their new teachers and even though Brigham didn't want to go back for the second day of school, I think that deep down he likes it!:)

4th of July Parade!
We love the 4th in Menan! Brigham caught a trout in the "Real Fish Pond" (Speaking of which, it is still in my fridge....) and he also got 5 goldfish from another booth! The girls got their faces painted and did the fake fish pond...they got stuffed animals! ( At least I don't have to cook them!) We ate a lot of food and had a good time! They got to ride the train....eat popsicles, cotton candy, parade candy, snow cones, and sooooo much more! Then we watched the fireworks while we layed on our trampoline! What could be better than that! ( NO long drive home!)
