San Fransisco Blitz

After driving for hours and hours, we finally got to San Fransisco or rather Concord CA. We moved Alex and Anna into their new place on Friday afternoon, then we went window shopping in Walnut Creek and ate at a diner on the street....I ate a burger with grilled pineapple and terriyakii sauce on it, it was unusual, I probably won't get another one! Then the next day our adventure in San Fransisco began.....We drove to the Bart Station, To take the train into San Fransisco...This train Goes UNDER the Bay. We were excited for the trip.

We stopped at a Farmers Market for Breakfast...The indoor market was amazing! It was an old Train Depot! The food was OK,.....but the fruit from the stands out front was amazing!
This was in the outdoor market...they had everything there!!!! We only bought a couple of homemade magnets...we are big spenders! In front of a sculpture, water thing-y...I think I have a picture of my family when I was a kid in front of this somewhere! Alex worked just a couple of blocks from here in a giant cement skyscraper....It wasn't very pretty just really big! all of the tours for alcatraz were sold out, so we looked at the model....:) then we booked a ride on a boat to tour the bay. It took us around the bay and told all about the history of alcatraz and the other islands and of course the Golden Gate Bridge! It was fun!Cute architecture! You don't see that everyday!Lombard Street! There was a line of cars to go down this curvy street! Crazy!!We ended the day with a little shopping! Greg finally found a new hat! It is white, unfortunately, but he likes it! Alex found something, and I am sure they had a good time shopping together in the Macys Mens store! We ditched them and ran through the Macys, Olivia got a new shirt for $3.87, and Anna found some new socks!!! Woo-Hoo!
Olivia at the Fair showing her horse Bailey!
She had fun, and did really well for her first year of 4-H. She Did several events and survived the rain... For saying we live in a dessert, it didn't show that day!

Halter showmanship....or just trying not to get stuck in the mud! None of the horses were trotting in the slop like they were supposed to, and the poor judge had to stand in the mud all morning long! Luckily nobody lost a boot in the muck!:)

Ben Made the temple cake out of rice crispies!Happy to see their aunt get married!
